Intro

Game theory is the study of mathematical models of strategic interaction between rational decision-makers. It has applications in all fields of social science, as well as in logic and computer science [1]. In many AI application, e.g. multi-agent systems, this theory plays a very important role in agent’ reasoning. Please note that this theory is not really related to (video) game development.
Fig 1 shows a symmetric game is a game where the payoffs for playing a particular strategy depend only on the other strategies employed, not on who is playing them. That is, if the identities of the players can be changed without changing the payoff to the strategies, then a game is symmetric. Many of the commonly studied 2×2 games are symmetric. The standard representations of chicken, the prisoner’s dilemma, and the stag hunt are all symmetric games
The Trust game
Recently, I did some research and found an interesting link to trust and game theory. The author has done a great job to provide a fun way to the basics of computational trust theory.
